I haven't had much to post about lately, but I guess I am ready to tell everyone our plans. I haven't said anything before because...1-I was so disappointed about the house being so high and 2-I have been/was embarrassed about our decision. The whole point in selling our home was so that we could have something bigger and in the country. We have all this land in the Pansy/Herbine community and wanted to get back to being out and not being in town. When the house thing fell through, I was completely devastated and had no clue as to what I/we wanted to do. We already had our hearts set on living on our land. There were no houses for sale that we wanted except for one and we heard that it had black mold in the walls, so we didn't even pursue. So....we have decided to buy a double wide...I refuse to say trailer so from here on out, it is my new house or new home. We ordered it last week. They are building it new for us so I got to pick out everything that I want or don't want in it, the flooring, paint colors, countertops, cabinets...everything. You can see what the floor plan looks like here and some of the interior photographs are posted below. The flooring, wall colors and cabinets will all be different. We have the outside being a dark khaki with black shutters. I feel like some will make fun of us, but mind you that this is my home, none the less and it will not look like a "trailer" in any way on the inside. I have come to the conclusion that as long as my family is together and we are happy, that is all that matters. So, there are our plans. :)

Also, we have purchased a new bedroom suit...

new bedding...

a new coffee table...

and a new sofa table...

Girl. I want to come shake you. There is nothing wrong with a double wide. They make them SO NICE now that if you build a porch around it, no one would even know. And that is so super cool that you got to pick out every detail! So cool! And I love all of your new house goodies!!!! :)

There is not one thing wrong with that. Our dream is to get some land and get us a double wide. If we could just find some land, we would do it soon. We have talked about it forever. There is nothing to be ashamed of in that, and it is a lot cheaper than a home for the space you can get. I love all your pictures...that kitchen looks awesome!

Sweet! I love the new doublewides.
And I'm loving that big ol bedroom and bathroom.
Don't ever worry about what anyone thinks of where you live. When they start working and paying your bills, then they can have something to say.
We plan to stay in our trailer for a few more years before we can do anything either.
Unrelated, I am totally addicted to 90210 now. Thanks, lol!

Our old trailer was a Franklin, and it was super nice. All sheetrock interior, 2x6 walls, no linoleum cause it had nice tile. Trailers are stereotypically made fun of by people that have never been in a nice one. Ours was a very nice home, and I think anyone that knocks you for it is being ignorant. When we were house hunting, we looked at plenty of HOUSES that had particle board cabinets in the kitchen (my trailer didn't) and crappy bathtubs (my trailer had porcelain) and it let us know for sure just how nice our doublewide was. You should google the Franklins, they are awesome. They used to have a dealer in Conway, but it closed because Franklin's cost more on average and they could not compete with the others very easily.
CONGRATS CONGRATS!

I. LOVE. IT!!!! OMG, Heather! It's beautiful!!! Don't you worry about anything or anyONE. To quote Dr. Seuss, "Be who you are and say what you feel because, those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind".

Brian and I talk about doing the exact same thing ALL.THE.TIME! We could have any amount of land we wanted right beside my parents and we could pirch a beautiful double wide on that property and have a $500-600 house payment vs a $1,200 one. AND NOT PAY FOR DAYCARE! HELLO $120/WEEK!!! Trust me, we've almost done it twice in the last 7 years. I don't know about anyone else that reads this, but I love going to the lots and "looking" at the ones on display. I think they're fabulous now.

I love how you were able to pick out the "changeables" in the house! So cool!! I love all your new additions, too! LOVE the bedding!! And, we have bought almost everything we own from Ashley's in Bryant! Love it there!

Congratulations, sister! You made a wonderful decision!!!!!!
