Swap Time!!

I have decided to host another swap. This time it is going to be a New Years Resolution Swap!

Just email me at ladybugs123179@yahoo.com with a list of your New Years Resolutions along with your name, address, email address, and blog address if you have one.

What we will do is take a resolution off of your person's list and send them some things that pertain to that resolution. Items can be homemade or bought with a $5.00 minimum. You do not have to have a blog to participate.

Deadline to sign up will be Thursday, January 3rd. I will email everyone on Friday, January 4th with their partner. Deadline to mail items out will be Friday, January 11th.

I'm excited and I hope you are too!

Christmas and a lost tooth!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas! I have posted some pics below of the events we had at Christmas this year. Jackson also lost his first tooth on Christmas Day! I was too lazy to post a bunch of pics, so I did a slide instead. Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Weddings and Snapshots

Jackson was in a wedding on Saturday. He was the ring bearer and loved every minute of it. After the rehearsal he kept telling everyone that he got to walk with a girl! haha She was 8, so she was an older woman! haha He did very well during the wedding and held the pillow the entire time and never complained until after the wedding when they were doing pictures. Anyway, I have been to several weddings and the ring bearer is normally throwing the pillow around or acting silly, but my baby just stood there and stared at Wesley (Kristy's brother, the groom). Go Jackson! haha Here are some pics and I threw in one at the top that I took of the kids before the rehearsal.

Look at my little boy looking all grown up!

Getting ready to go down the aisle.

Aren't they cute? Already escorting the ladies!

Tired of taking pictures!! He wanted some cake!

Jackson loves him some Ki Ki!

Christmas Swap/New Addition to our home!

I will start off with the Christmas Swap that my friend Rosjuane hosted. This was a great swap! My person was Jenny Sipes. We bowl in a bowling league together and she delievered my gift to me lastnight at the bowling alley. I didn't want to open it over there because I didn't want everyone to stare at me and too, so I could take a picture of the pretty wrapping. It was almost to pretty to open, but I gave in! haha Anyway, I want to say thanks to Jenny for the awesome gift and thanks to Rosjuane for hosting!

Now, on to the new addition to our family. Friday night we went to buy a black lab. He is 10 weeks old and his name is Razor for the Razorbacks of course!! His mom has War Eagle in her name and we always try to name our labs their AKC name by one of the parents. So, Razor's official name is Perry's War Eagle Razorback. He is sweet, calm, and pretty good about not using the bathroom in the house.

Tinseltown Tuesday/Wednesday

Sorry I'm late on getting this posted, although I'm not so sure that anyone else reads this but Debbi, but anyhow, here's the entertainment news for the week!

8. Michael Vick was sentenced to 23 months in prison for dogfighting and conspiracy. I really figured with him being a celebrity that he wouldn't get anything.

7. Lauren Conrad states that The Hills is indeed not a true reality show. I'm pretty disappointed with this. I wanted it to be real and why be a reality show if it isn't?

6. Alex Trebek suffered a heart attack over the weekend but is doing fine and expected to make a full recovery.

5. Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, from the not reality show The Hills, have called off their engagement. They are still together, but were they really ever engaged?

4. Britney stole a cigarette lighter from a gas station the other day. Enough said.

3. Celebrity Apprentice starts on January 3rd. I'm ready to see this, but like The Hills, I'm sure this will not be reality tv. I'm sure they will all have a script to read. But, anywho, the celebrities that will participate are as follows: Omarosa, Vincent Pastore, Stephen Baldwin, Gene Simmons, Trace Adkins, Nadia Comaneci (I hope she wins!), Tiffany Fallon, Jennie Finch, Lennox Lewis, Piers Morgan, and Tito Oritiz

.
2. Jessica Alba confirms that she is pregnant and the dad is boyfriend, Cash Warren. She is due sometime in late spring/early summer.

1. For all of us Razorback fans, we have hired a new coach as of lastnight. Atlanta Falcons, now ex-head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, Bobby Petrino is now the Razorback's Head Coach. I'm excited, but kinda weary (sp?). This is his 5th try to get a job in 5 years. He was only with the Atlanta Falcons this year and before that he was Louisville's Head Coach and he has interviewed over the years every year at a different college. Just last year when he signed with the Falcons, he signed a 5 year, $24 million dollar contract. We shall see!

Have a good week!

Due to a sick child and being behind at work because of being off with the sick child, Tinseltown Tuesday will probably be Tinseltown Wednesday this week! Have a good day!

Tinseltown Tuesday

We had a semi-boring week in Hollywood, but I have a little scoop for everyone.

6. I just wanted to show this picture of Jennifer Lopez from this weekend. If only everyone was this beautiful while pregnant!

5. Katherine Heigl (Izzie - Grey's Anatomy) has stated that she is unhappy with her character on the show because of her affair. It's nice to know that SOMEONE has morals in Hollywood!

4. As if Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical) wasn't cute enough, she states that she had a nose job done on Friday to fix a deviated septum. Isn't that what they always say?

3. Couple News: Ashley Olsen is over Lance Armstrong (old enough to be her dad) and has moved on to Josh Lucas. She is 21, he is 36. Carrie Underwoood is dating Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford. Paul McCartney is said to be dating Rosanna Arquette. Ethan Hawke is dating the former nanny to his children. What is up with the whole nanny thing? Finally, Lindsey Lohan dumped rehab boyfriend, Riley Giles, stating that he was boring.

2. Scott Weiland (Stone Temple Pilots, Velvet Revolver) was arrested AGAIN for another DUI. He also crashed his car. How many times has this dude been to rehab and jail for that matter? Geez!

1. I normally try to steer clear of Britney news, but there was nothing else to write about this week, so here ya go! She isn't adopting Chinese twins, she is suppossed to be pregnant now. She celebrated her 26th birthday on Saturday by crashing a party held by Sharon Stone and making it into her birthday party and even included a cake. She downed many drinks is what one person said. I still wouldn't doubt she was pregnant and drinking, sounds about right for her.

Have a good week!

Weekend Movies

With the cold weather, the only thing around here to do is shop or watch movies and since movies are cheaper, that is what I opted for.

This weekend I watched two movies:

The first was Hot Rod. Now, I am a huge fan of stupid/funny movies, but this was just retarded. haha It was like Napolean Dynamite meets Nacho Libre or something. It was about a guy who thought that he was a stuntman and he attempts to jump his dirt bike over 15 school buses to raise money for his ailing stepdad. This might be one of those I have to watch a couple of times to think it is really funny, but I was expecting so much more from this one. It stars Isla Fisher and Andy Samburg. I give it 3 1/2 stars.

The other movie I watched is older and was on HBO or something and by the time I got to the end, I realized I had already seen it. This freaked me out because it isn't old enough for me to have forgotten about it! haha It was My Super Ex-Girlfriend. This movie was silly, but cute and it was somewhat entertaining. It is about a guy that breaks up with his superhero girlfriend because she is a little psycho and will not leave him alone. It stars Luke Wilson, Uma Thurman, and Anna Faris. I give it 4 stars.

There ya have it!

Perry Elves

Go look at my elves!!
(especially Chris!)

Free Gift!

My friend, Debbi, is hosting a give-a-way so to speak. Just read the post below!

Let me give you your first Christmas present of the season! Here is the catch - it's a blog exchange challenge. (Thanks Auprielle for the fun idea!) Leave a comment and then Sunday night (around 10pm Central Time) I will write down all the names and have Wade draw three. The lucky winners will then get one of these handmade pillows for the holidays! I promise to mail your package at the same time I mail all my other Christmas packages (next week) so you will receive it in plenty of time.
The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog. (So, you must have a blog to participate.) You have 365 days to post and send the goods! I can't wait to see who I will be giving to. To join, just cut and paste this on your blog and comment away. So get posting!! 'Tis the season for giving...and blogging.

Christmas Events

Lastnight, we went to the big Christmas parade in town. It lasted 15 minutes which was quite a long time for a parade around here, but it was boring and short lived. I have posted some pictures of the kids...there weren't any floats worth taking pictures of.

Also, I thought I would post my Christmas tree and my fave ornament since everyone else was posting theirs.

This is our "main" Christmas tree.

This is my fave ornament. I have two of these that I got on sale somewhere after Christmas a few years ago. The glass is real and they are so so heavy, but cute!

This is our other little tree. It is in the living room and I put color lights on it to bring back memories of my childhood! We never used clear lights when I was little!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Rainy Weather = Movies!

This weekend was soooo nasty, rainy and cold! I couldn't think of anything better to do on a Sunday afternoon except watch movies! This is what we watched:

Hairspray - I loved the original with Ricki Lake back in the day, but this newer version is WAY better. Lauren absolutely loved it and now wants it for Christmas! She is 4! I'm excited that she liked it so well, because I love musicals. Chris wasn't there, he hates those kind of movies, except Grease! John Travolta playing the mom and some of the things he does just cracks me up! For those of you that have never seen it, it is set in the 60's and there is a super popular dance show for teens that comes on every afternoon and Tracy, who is a little overweight, wants to dance on the show. She gets on the show and then they take away a day when the black people get to dance and she goes on protest. Super cute and with a good meaning! I gave it 5 stars! It stars John Travolta, Michelle Phifer, Amanda Bynes, Christopher Walken, Zach Effron, Kristin Cavillari and Queen Latifah.

Bobby Z - This movie was about a drug lord, a cop, a prisoner, and a few other people. haha This one guy was a major drug dealer who was in trouble with a drug lord and a police officer's partner was being held by the drug lord so the officer gets a guy out of prison who looks like the drug dealer to switch to get his partner back and of course things turn crazy and go awry. You will just have to watch because I don't want to spoil or confuse anyone anymore than I already have about this one. I gave it 3 1/2 stars. It stars Paul Walker and Laurence Fishborne.

Spiderman 3 - This is a continuation to the other movies in the series. It is your typical Spiderman movie with a "black suit" coming in this one as the villain. It was good, I give it 4 stars. It stars Tobey Maguire, Topher Grace, Kirsten Dunst, and James Franco.

Santa Clause 3 - This, too, is a continuation to the other movies in the series, but this time Jack Frost comes to ruin Christmas and make it Frostmas. This movie was super cute and not only did my kids love it, but Chris and I did as well. I give it 5 stars. It stars Tim Allen and Martin Short.

Helio & Julianne!

Yay!! My faves, other than Sabrina & Mark, won Dancing with the Stars lastnight! Congrats to Helio & Julianne!

Tinseltown Tuesday

What Up? (Imagine Barney from How I Met Your Mother saying this!) Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and now for your entertainment news!

I had to start the week off with my monthly Andy Baldwin picture....so cute!! Enjoy!

5. NFL player, Sean Taylor died lastnight after suffering from a gunshot wound. He was 24 years old. The star was shot in his home in Miami on Monday.

4. Hulk Hogan's wife filed for divorce on Friday. They have been married for 23 years.

3. Britney is planning to adopt Chinese twins according to the latest rumor. She can't take care of her own children. Who in the crap would give her more?

2. Just last week on After the Final Rose, Bachelor Byron Velvick and his chosen fiance, Mary Delgado, were professing their love and talking about their upcoming wedding. They were on the show 2 years ago and have been together ever since. On Wednesday of last week, however, Mary was arrested for domestic battery for getting drunk and punched her fiance making his upper lip bleed. My my!

1. On a sad note, for all you Food Network people out there (me, me, me!) they have announced that December 11, 2007, will be the last Emeril Live! show to air. They have cancelled the show after 10 years. They will continue to run reruns. R.I.P. Emeril....you were loved! (he's not dead, just cancelled)

1b. For all of us Arkansas Razorback fans, Houston Nutt resigned yesterday after 10 years with the school. Many of us are rejoicing, but it is kind of sad to see him go. The university offered to extend his contract for two more years after Friday's win over LSU. Reggie Herring, Defensive Coordinator, will coach the team for the bowl game in January. So long Houston!

Update on Houston: It is official, Houston Nutt has signed to be head coach of Ole Miss next year. Already a rival, now will be a major rival. Now, who will Arkansas get?

Have a good week!
